Over 62 years of experience, Twin City EDM and Manufacturing has the depth and breadth of experience that allows us to pinpoint the most quality-driven and cost effective method of manufacturing any specific component. Utilizing 17-4 PH stainless steel, we fabricated the orthopedic resection block base pictured here, which featured overall dimensions of 2.1311″ in length, 1.1224″ in width, and 1.3653″ in height, using 3D contour milling techniques.
The customer-supplied 2D drawing was translated into 3D tool paths to form the curves, outlines, and surface features rapidly and with minimal material waste. Our high reliability 4-axis milling center enabled us to maintain tight ±0.0015″ dimensional tolerances and well as ±0.5º on all angles. Deburring removed all traces of particulate, and each workpiece was bead blasted to a smooth, uniform 20 RMS finish.
